Emergency Relief & The Legacy Land Project

Responding in Crisis. Rebuilding for the Long Term.

When the Eaton Fire devastated Altadena and surrounding communities, Victory Bible Church responded immediately—first with prayer, then with action, and ultimately with a long-term vision for restoration.

What began as an emergency effort to support displaced members and neighbors has evolved into The Legacy Land Project: a comprehensive care-management and wraparound support initiative designed to walk families through recovery, stability, and rebuilding.

The Birth of the Legacy Land Project

In the earliest days following the fire, Victory Bible leaders established a simple but powerful response system:

- An intake form to document urgent needs
- A mini call center to pray with families and triage requests
- On-the-ground pastoral presence at evacuation centers

That immediate response quickly revealed the magnitude of loss—and the need for coordinated, sustained care.

Through this effort, Victory Bible distributed:

- $2 million in direct financial assistance
- Nearly 50 vehicles to families who lost transportation
- Food, clothing, household essentials, and emergency resources

By January 30, the church formally launched The Legacy Land Project, shifting from short-term relief to long-term care management, ensuring families did not fall through the cracks once emergency aid ended.
