The HEROS Project

The Community Healing Program is a transformative initiative that works with active gang members (“tribe members”) in South Los Angeles to build peace, leadership, and personal development. Through a structured 7-week series that includes communication training, conflict resolution, mentorship by “Old G’s,” and consistent support from care coaches, the program seeks to reduce violence, promote healing, and equip participants with tools to serve their communities. The initiative
also includes monthly Bridge Building Nights, the Youth Empowerment Summit (YES), and wraparound services such as court advocacy and trauma-informed women’s circles.
